You can take it up to 500 but the link software might crash if you have it too high for your PC spec (as I found out in middle of games). As I understand it, this helps get more compressed data down the USB link quicker.
I also change the Encode Bitrate from the Default 0 (=150Mbps) to 250 Mbps. These are the values recommended by OTT (under Quest Link tab) for my RTX2070 (it also recommends SS=1.2 but I ignore that in Debug/OTT, as I effectively use the Oculus App for SS). However, I still use Debug to set the Oculus Link Distortion Curvature to LOW and the Encode Resolution Width to 2912. I also set the SS to default 0 (=1.0) In Oculus Debug (or you can use OTT) and I also set the device resolution (and frequency) in the Oculus App. But when I turn other settings down, things look pretty blurry and jagged.
I've got FXSS set at 2 other settings are at HIGH. Unless someone has a better idea for settings. I'm probably going to go back to my Rift S, I don't think I have a powerful enough computer to make the Quest 2 work. I'm running without OTT and I've got the Quest at 72 with. I've been using my Rift S and I can hold 70+ fps and I can get 71 with the Quest but then the latency gets bad. If I turn down the graphics, it looks terrible and if I turn up the graphics the latency makes it impossible to play. I can't seem to figure out what are the best settings. One question: when I control the resolution in the Oculus app on PC, does it also change the supersampling setting of the headset in IL-2? Link has been working fine so far for me. I lowered the resolution in Oculus app, and after that I started to get better performance with OpenComposite. I dont think its a bad connection, but maybe OC or oculus link crashing. I seem to be getting a lot better fps on Quick Mission with OC, but I have had issues with losing the link. Feels more like Oculus Link or Opencomposite crashing. Bit of a pain, as I am getting much better performance in Opencomposite than SteamVR and want to keep with itĢ) Anyone having problems with Oculus Link disconnecting now and then with Opencomposite? I dont think it is a loose connection as often not moving when it happens. But it doesnt save this so every day (or session) I need to do same thing. I seem to have to start the game in desktop mode, then tick the Enable VR HMD box in graphics settings and then restart.
